hello,

I started accordion 2 years ago with a teacher and a lot of personal work.
I started with the basics and mainly on the C major scale

The teacher pushed me to study the vast majority of scales, arpeggios and chords in major, minor and 2 hands.

What's more, in the minor mode, I need to know the Natural, Harmonic and Melodic scales. The aim is to master by heart all the scales, arpeggios and chords.

But also, with both hands in sync, as well as descending with the left hand and ascending with the right, and vice versa.

I understand this technical work, but I don't feel that this enormous amount of work is necessary for playing the instrument better. But I suppose my judgement is wrong.

If someone of good will could tell me 2 words about it and enlighten me It would be nice !!!!

Amicalement

Good evening, yes it's very good, but not motivating! I gave lessons to an 11 year old who had never touched an accordion, with the chromatic accordion method 1st year by Médard Ferrero and the scores. After a year, he was playing 10 scores! cordially

Hello Do you want to become a concert performer? Follow the advice of your teacher, who may only see in you a wallet on legs or may have detected in you a future Verchuren. Otherwise, just enjoy playing the scores on PA and you'll quickly find your level.
Hello, does anyone have a very nice score for beginners (1 week of practice)? For the moment, with max the chords C-G-R-E-FA in the left hand.

Hello,

Does anyone know this accordion: Accordion Paul Beuscher 96 basses. 3 rows of chords and 3 rows of basses left hand. 3 left-hand registers.
3 right-hand voices, 2 flutes and a bassoon with 5 registers ( full stop, 1 flute, 2 flutes, 1 bassoon, flute + bassoon )
It's for sale on the bon coin, it matches my criteria but I don't know it at all and it's not possible for me to try it. Is it a reliable brand, and is the sound "powerful" enough?
If you have any information ..... Thanks a lot

Hello Michèle,

I can only give you one piece of advice, an accordion, and an acoustic one at that.
The complexity of the instrument, the cost of repairing it, however small, can be expensive. The sound can also be very different depending on the manufacturer.

Sincerely

Hello,

I would like to make a Bb minor diminished left hand (I don't have the left hand diminished chord row on my instrument) I'm not sure how to do it.
Indeed, if I don't say anything stupid:
Sib Min Dim = Si♭ Re♭ Fa♭ La♭♭ (cf. https://theoriemusicale.camilleroux.com/tonalite/bb/accords/septieme-diminuee )
So I have to take :
- Lower Bb
- The Re♭ Fa♭ La♭♭ agreement => how do you find the equivalent of this agreement?

Don't hesitate to tell me if I haven't made myself clear.

Thank you in advance,

François

Good evening to all
unless I'm mistaken while waiting for a pro's opinion what you are looking for is the C#7th chord.
Bass Bb/ C#7th chord
Best regards

Hello to all.

For the three notes of which you seek the equivalence it is The 7th, but For the left hand sylvergo right.
Hello,
I am confronted with a score with a G#+ chord
After research, the "+" corresponds to an augmented chord, i.e. the notes G#/Mi/Do.
Evolving with an accordion with French keyboard against bass /bass /note / chord M/ min/ 7, I am looking for a trick to make this chord.
How to find a combination from the classical M/m/7 chords and basses?
PS: For the diminished basses I saw that there was the tuto of Frederic Deschamps.
Thank you,

Good evening, I am an apprentice who struggles with the left hand chords. For waltzes it's ok but it's more difficult for a paso or a tango, especially when the key of F is not written.could someone give me some tips?SincerelyBerny

For the left hand, if as I suppose you work alone, I would advise you to meet someone who can give you some basics (maybe take some lessons...). If you indicate in which region you live, a member of the forum will perhaps be able to help you (personally, I'm in the Toulouse region).for the repertoire: you have everything you want on the forum; you can start to look on the internet at videos of animations in old people's homes. If you start with a not very long repertoire, you will quickly have requests from the residents!
Good luck

Hello, Yes indeed, the construction of the chords, the principles which govern them and their sequences, it is the harmony. Many musicians neglect this learning. It is necessary to take a few lessons to acquire the basics and to be able to play with pleasure and understand what you are doing, even for pieces that seem simple. Good music.

good evening, I am taking lessons with an accordeon teacher but apart from working on my left hand, she doesn't tell me anything else, she doesn't have any tricks to give me, I coordinate my two hands with difficulty, and so, I am learning really slowly, I would like to advance a little faster

Hello,It's long.....it's even sometimes very long.A lot of work, a lot of rigor, it is necessary to acquire the independence of the two hands. For the simple pieces (4, 5 chords) that should go faster.A precious help: - knowledge of the theory of the music- knowledge of the composition of the chords- knowledge of the harmony- work of the scales- etc....
There are a lot of tutorials on youtube (you have to go and sort them out).
You must not give up, the reward is at the end of the hours of work.

Hello Angelique, Don't give up .... but don't skip any steps. You must acquire a good practice of the left hand as well as the right hand then play with both hands slowly to start. The technicality is acquired as time goes by. As our Comrade LEVINCERET says, it can be long.well musically and good luck. MUSETTE27
