Hello to all,
For the last 3 years, I have been doing research in order to write the biography of Pietro Rossi, virtuoso accordionist, musette ball animator and orchestra conductor, and, emeritus accordion teacher.
So, if you have any documentation, if you have any information to give me, I am listening and receptive.
I look forward to reading you

There is almost nothing on the Internet. I am looking for testimonies, because Pietro Rossi was a hub in the years from 1952 to 1989, where he brought in, invited, received many accordionists and stars of the French popular song and then there is the teacher, the wonderful teacher and his way of teaching was inspired by the best of that time.
So, I continue the pilgrimage.

He lived in Montreal, (QC, Canada). He recorded his records for London, but had continuous exchanges with France, Belgium and Italy, as he was also a star of Fratelli Crosio.

Hello
For your research, perhaps in Accordéons-Accordéonistes Magazine, an article was dedicated to Pietro Rossi.

I'll give you some clues.
Born in 1921 and died in 1990.
Moved to Montreal, Qc Canada in the 1950s.
Was a representative of the Fratelli Crosio brand.
Had his own brand of accordion "Rossicana", made in Stradella.
Was the gateway to many French, Belgian and Italian accordion stars.
Has composed many musical pieces.
Endorsed
Has had his own orchestra(s); animator of ball of which the musette.

If you can help me find people who knew him here and on the other side of the Atlantic,

If you have any clues,
If you have any information about the song and popular music of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s in France, Belgium and Italy,
Then send it to me, I will make good use of it and mention the reference by name.
Let's do justice to the musicians who performed in the shadows, to the unknown, to the forgotten and let's make it our duty to resurrect them for posterity and for history by our recognition that they allowed music to be alive and to animate the audiences.
IT IS OUR DUTY TO REMEMBER!
Greetings to all!

Good evening,
I don't have these magazines anymore. I gave them to a friend who has since passed away.
Therefore, I don't have any more information about this subject concerning this virtuoso accordionist that was Pietro Rossi.
Have a nice evening.

Hello!

I live in Quebec and I recently bought a Fratelli Crosio accordion with the letters engraved on it: P. Rossi - Montreal

I don't know if my instrument belonged to Pietro Rossi about whom you are researching...but there are similarities...
If you give me your email, I will send you a picture...
Good evening!

Hello Slade and hello to you all,
After all these years of research, I will soon publish on WIKIPÉDIA the biography of Pietro Rossi, virtuoso accordionist, composer, author, ball entertainer, representative of the Fratelli Crozio brand in North America (in the 1960's and following years) and renowned pedagogue.
As you know the contribution to Wikipedia is anonymous and open to those who are able to improve the published articles.
This article is the beginning of my contribution to make Pietro Rossi known, the history of the accordion in Quebec in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's; these 4 decades will allow me, in future publications, to make you discover also the cultural climate with regard to the song and the popular dances, and, also to the teaching of the accordion.
I reiterate that if any of you have documents from that time (methods, scores, newspaper or magazine articles, etc.), please do not hesitate to contact me, in order to further document my research.
See you soon in your correspondence,
Sincerely,
G_Tormen_2013
