Hello to all musicians. As an accordionist, I would like to accompany myself with a drum machine, especially for marches, waltzes and tangos (dance music for people in Epad). Is there anyone among you who uses this kind of "drummer". I would like to know your different experiences and especially which model is the best adapted for this kind of music. Thanks in advance for your answers and comments.

Thanks again to the accordionist who quoted me the Roland BK 7m which unfortunately is not made anymore and according to my music store there is practically no equivalent in modern "boxes".

Hello,

the BK7m is a good compromise quality price, can be see in second hand ?

You have the Cavagnolo Air Symphonie for the styles you are looking for, however the price is higher but it is controlled by a tablet provided, see the demonstration:
.
At Ketron the SD 40 is a little cheaper but see the rhythms that are not adapted to the French style.
All these models are compact and therefore not very bulky.

Sincerely

Thanks to Lousguits for this information. I didn't know about it. I will look for this side which seems to me very interesting.
Hello, I am looking for an organ with accordion keys, with integrated rhythm box, even "old" but that it works well, at a small price. I am in Dordogne. Thank you for your offers.
Musically yours.

Hello,
Sorry for the delay in responding. Can you send me some pictures, if the instrument is still available? By the way, is it possible to put on headphones?
Thanks

Hello everyone, as mentioned in the presentation I published this morning, I play on an acoustic accordion (so WITHOUT MIDI). However, I'm thinking of buying a Ketron SD40 (or something else if someone has a better idea!) and I'll explain: on the one hand, I'd like to be able to use midifiles (midi files) that I have in my computer and so far, I think that, even without being connected to MIDI, it's quite possible. But, on the other hand, I have a whole repertoire composed of pieces for which I don't have midi or Mp3 files. Therefore, in this last case, I would like to know if the SD40 (or other), without any MIDI connection, could be used as a "rhythm box" and this, in all the musette oriented styles, such as waltz, march, tango, bolero, paso, cha cha, samba, polka, etc...? If so, could you explain to me the manoeuvres to be carried out on the machine to reach it. In advance, many thanks to all of you.

Good evening Gege, all the arrangers in the world can be used as a drum machine BUT everything will be done manually or with a pedal for the START/STOP. Rhythmic variations, intro and ending BUT it will only be the drum beat, no bass, no rhythmic sequences of course. It will be only an improved metronome with sounds of bass drum, cymbals, hi-hat, snare etc etc. Practical to work in rhythm a song but not very pleasant on stage

Good evening Jean-Pierre.... if I read correctly the first name on your accordion! Many thanks for your message. I think that the solution would be to "midify" at least the left hand of my accordion in order to benefit from all the complete rhythms of the expander. But well, that will make me pay 2 bills! The purchase of the expander AND the installation of the midifier in the accordion. I'll think about it anyway. Thanks again and very musically.Gégé

Good evening Drigongilbert.
First of all, did you check if your accordion is set in the same Midi channels as the Ms 40 from Solton ?
Channel 1 for the right hand keyboard,
Channel 2 for the bass
And channel 3 for the accompaniment.
As soon as you push a button of a chord (if the Ms 40 is on Start Stop), normally, if everything coincides it should work as soon as you start your chords.
Let me know if you want.
Have a nice evening.
Jodi

Hello:

Try on each RX channel of the Solton and check each time with the accordion if it activates the star-stop of the arranger!
