Hello,
does anyone have a solution for mounting a smartphone or small tablet (like ipad mini) without damaging the accordion?
I currently use a normal music stand (tripod) on which I place an ipad pro 12.9 (the largest). I use Piascore software. It's perfect for reading scores. I have a bluetooth pedal to turn the pages. However, all this is a bit heavy.
So I'm looking to lighten the system by having a smaller screen attached to the accordion, so it's close to the eyes for reading sheet music. I don't want to damage my Roland FR4!
I've tried car mountings, but it's not easy.
Thanks for reading.

Yes, it's not really a software, it's the two ears, there's no better... After all that exists doesn't really give very good results, it's always a little bit off and we spend more time trying to correct when it's possible than to transcribe. On the other hand, there are very good tools to demix music and thus separate all the instruments of an Mp3 and also tools to find the names of the chords and their position in an Mp3 Lionel specialist M A O since 35 years.

Hello to all,

for once, we are now following our strict update process.
This time as usual there are a lot of bug fixes, software updates, performance improvements.

And some additions, here is a non-exhaustive list:

- Posts posted by members (discussion tutorials etc...) in another language than yours are automatically translated. So you should not see any more posts in English for example. Your answer in French will also be automatically translated for the English-speaking person to whom you answer (This post will be automatically translated into English).

It is possible to deactivate the automatic translation in the preferences.

- You can now post classified ads from the news page.

- Slight redesign of the display in some places such as the display of dates of events.

A lot of bug fixes too long to list here, but if you have reported bugs since the last update, they have surely been fixed in this one.

Thanks for reading :)

As usual if you encounter any problem please report it to [email protected]

Hello to all and happy holidays
I am looking for a software to create scores. I have one (pro guitar) but it does not correspond at all to the accordion (because there is a tablature with it) and I can't find it. I am part of an accordion company, a lot of additions on the scores and so it doesn't look like anything, I would like to redo it cleanly
An idea...
Thanks

Good evening,
I have just been offered an IPAD, and I have been installed, as a gift, the ONSONG software to be able to load and use all my scores on the tablet and thus leave aside the folders.
Would someone among you use this process and would have, by the same occasion, the kindness to give me, by private message, the manipulations to make to transfer in a first time, a partition so that I can practice to do it during my vacations ....
In advance, thank you for your help.
Sincerely and musically.

Good evening Cavag31,
Thank you for your feedback. I will go to the site you just recommended. It's true that organizing my scores from a tablet is brand new to me; that's why I took the liberty of asking for help on the forum. I also think I'm going to go to APPLE STORE near my work so they can give me a little training during my lunch break.
Have a good evening and good music.
Sincerely. MUSETTE27

Good evening,

I'm sometimes a little confused to read the notes on the staff and at the same time to look for the fingering above or below... the right hand, the left hand... bad working method surely !

So, as it annoys me (just for fun!), I had fun to fiddle with my music software to put the fingering in the place of the notes...

And as I don't know if it's interesting, I submit it to you for your opinion :)

a little example from the blue Ferrero method (there are 2-3 input errors!):

I will enter a "more difficult" score (if you know one where the fingering has been indicated by a pro!) to see this "tablature" is operative!

Hi, survoje
Is it really clearer?
It is necessary to read the numbers of the fingers MD, 1st line of the first systemthe name of the notes in French below 2nd lineand that of the chords in English... between the linesand as I sing it would be necessary to still add the words...
otherwise ... (I try to imagine for a duet sung by a couple ...)
I think that it takes a little moment of adaptation to imagine the notes...

Hi jmimi and thanks for your comments!
Ok for the MG which is a mess ! at first, I didn't want to put it... The little interest was for the bass melodies.
And if we only stick to the MD?
I'll post another example, while I realize it...

Do you have a song on the site that I could "study" according to your remarks, a score where there would be the accordion part... I also do accordion-singing, so it could be of interest to me in two ways!

Hello overhead
Please take this message as an opinion, not a criticism
Your "score" can only be played by an accordionist who uses the same fingering as you (thumb 1) I use the thumb in 0, for me it is finished. In the first measure you have to think that the 2 is the note E. As I am thumb 0 my fingering is less 1So my 2 ... it's an E......., I say to myself it's written 2 = then finger 1.
Not obvious because in measure 5 the 2 is a D.

Imagine that you make a duet, you give your score to another musician !!!! and this musician gives you the same score written with the notes
I learned accordion and solfeggio with this method, now on a score (no matter the instrument) when I see a C or a C I play C not a 2, a 3 or a 5.
A bit of humor to finish (because I like it and I'm not the only one here) Unless you write scores for telephone dials, I think you're going to a lot of trouble for nothing

Regards to all and to all

Thank you Theo for your answer!

I'm learning on my own and sometimes I wish things were clearer on the methods. For idea, from "Ferrero 1st year" page 58...

wow, I'm getting cold feet just looking at it! If I zoom in on a measurement....

I say to myself "can I make it clearer... for me !". hence this idea of a kind of "tablature"...(with a typing error !)

and to have fun, to test, the beginning of a Ferrero recreation "upper course" MD... By the way, the "1" in finger 1, I did not invent it, I stole it from Ferrero, so it is guaranteed...

I had a certain joy to succeed in this challenge (to put the fingerings in the place of the notes) thanks to a forumer by the way, to go in the "heart" of an indisputable software of scores (Lilypond)!

Even if some ideas may seem like dead ends at some point, it's worth trying them! Computers allow us to do many things. This idea can also evolve... or not... That said, I didn't work only for the "telephone dials" because now I have the possibility to clear up the tricky parts...

I would also like the opinion of a beginner (not conditioned by his training ...), knowing how to read music and knowing the place of the notes on the keyboard ... not easy !

Sincerely
Gérard

Hello survoje, your idea is ingenious, but it will take you a lot of time, and if you get used to it, you will lose efficiency in pure reading, of course, fingering for an accordionist often requires patience and a certain amount of headache, but believe in my experience, if you have a good level of reading, fingering will be much easier, because you will concentrate on your fingers, and not on the note. Finally, I hope you are not too disappointed by our remarks, good luck, and happy holidays ....Jurachromatique

Hello musician friendsSurvoje
If you want to master the fingering, why not take a few lessons from a teacher or an accordeonist, you say you are a beginner and you are already in a superior course method.use the first method, work page by page choose the fingering that suits you, for the other fingerings that you do not use (a bit of blanco) and it's hidden.by working this way you will master the fingering, the reading and the ability to play all the scores.
Imagine a child in first grade who can't read but wants to do sixth grade homework,
Now if your tablature suits you why not but it will be difficult for you to share and the purpose of music is sharing.
Love
Luc.

Hello,
I didn't say that I was a fan of the "upper course". I just happen to have it in the back of a box and the idea came to me to test, to have fun, to grab the 1st MD line from the 1st recess. I was just having fun with it. I just specified the "upper course" to cite the source of this excerpt... I didn't say I wanted to make it a method, let alone a system of exchange with other musicians! It's true that at the beginning I put a whole score but it was just to "show off". I don't intend to retype all the scores that are lying around!
The idea is more to clarify a tricky passage, one, two, three bars, and again... for oneself, an aid to deciphering.
It can be seen as a gadget for someone who struggles...
Personally, it works... "tricky" passages become easier. And for the rest, it's the same as always!
SincerelyGérard

I'm sorry but I haven't seen your tutorials about sheet music on a tablet and I'm very interested. As you know, I can't play without them and sometimes they are 5, 6 or more pages long. For Christmas, I got a folding music stand that also has to hold 5 or 6 pages. It's not practical at all to file.

Hello Sylvie 27,
Here is the text I just put online on the KFC forum concerning my recent tablet equipment:

"Score binders and Tablets

Recurring topic in the forums, I deliver here my approach in the
matter, as an amateur accordionist, for whom the partoche is
indispensable
I estimated that the minimum format of a screen for reading
partoches should be at least equal to 13 inches, which is equivalent
roughly to a page in 21x27 format, portrait mode.
I then checked that the ANDROID system allowed a
classification of the simplest pieces, only with
the file explorer provided by ANDROID, with directories,
under directories, etc...then a full screen visualization
of the score, it is standard ANDROID, and which corresponds well
to the need of the instrumentalist..... On condition of saving the scores in JPG format (photos)
I thus scanned my partos in JPG. I also made
transcriptions on a page.
I then looked for a 13 inches tablet, not too expensive, at
dedicated only to this application.
To date, I found two models, not very common it is necessary
to say: one of brand ARCOS, familypad or familypad2, another brand
POLAROID, executive 13.
The prices go from 200 to 250 euros approximately, it is this last one of which
I made the acquisition.
In the end, very satisfied with the result, it is the question of the
reliability of these materials, we will see with the use.
In terms of autonomy, we are limited to 5/6 hours approximately, not
more it seems to me."

Hello,
it has been agreed to deposit ONLY the scores, if possible in PDF format, on the other hand the Mac users are not in majority on the site (probably also a small pb of budget) but your proposal can interest some members who can always contact you by MP.
you can also put an ad with your proposal in the "Classifieds" section to improve its readability.

Hello again slc

Well, let's go back to the subject you're interested in: of course, many programs do this...
What is important is that the software analyzes the Midi file when reading it to determine (by calculation) the name of the chords it contains.
The results obtained by the different software programs give a ranking from the best to the worst ... or even very bad in the analysis of the agreements.
But when it comes to the representation of the melodic line ... the classification is different.
For example MIDIILLUSTRATOR Italian software ...is average in chord analysis ...but not too bad in melody display. It has become a bit of a gas factory with each update ...but hey ...
Musician Notation http://www.notation.com/Download.php is super good in the display of the melodic line .... because it does not make quantization ...what it displays ..it is really what the musician in live played .... which comes back to say that it is also an exploit to be able to play what is displayed on the screen ....on the other hand for the name of the chords ...it is not always good ...we have the impression that this software must ...and makes an obligation of it ...to display chords in each measure ...that ends up not to complex these last ones and complicates excessively the partition ...

Band in a Box is good at everything ...the chords found are good ...never too complicated ...and it systematically does quantization which makes reading the melody very easy .
Band in a Box is my favorite .....but Musician Notation ...is often a good help on some Midi or Kar badly designed at the beginning ...

Finally, the best is to try and compare at the beginning with simple musics even if you already have the score ... It's up to you to find and make your choice among the many software on the market (free or paid).

good day slc
Hello,

When you have a score of several pages and that your scanner does not allow to scan them in only one document here is the handling which I use.

For example, the 3 pages of the Amazon score of Jean CORTI...

These three pages are scanned in jpg format...which is not very practical for filing...

By downloading a free "print to pdf" software like PDF Creator, you can easily create a single pdf containing the 3 pages of the jpg score.

First, I had to download the 3 pages of the score and then save them on my computer....then, thanks to PDF Creator, I selected the 3 pages together in jpg format...then I clicked on "Print file"...then...in the printers list, I selected "PDF Creator"....

And hop! instead of 3 separate jpg files, my score is inside a single pdf document...

Magic, isn't it?

And bonus...instead of 1.70mo for the 3 jpg.... the pdf document is only 1.25 mo

Moreover, you have only one download to do afterwards on P-A.

Hoping that this topic will help to limit the downloads of the scores of several split pages....(it also works to group several pdf in a single document)...

I wish you a good Sunday,

Michelle
