Hi members,Without wanting to slow down some people's desire to deposit, I would propose that when you deposit sheets in the form of a songbook, you do so only on the condition that you include the index (table of titles) of the songbook.
This would make it much easier for everyone to decide if the download is worthwhile and, more importantly, to find titles that might be of interest to each of us.
I was particularly surprised recently to see Songbooks of various artists containing about a hundred titles without a list; when you have a lot of these collections, finding a title afterwards becomes quite long.
In short, this is my proposal, to facilitate classification and retrieval.
Good music,

Good evening,
It would be a very good idea to know the titles in the collections
In the Tutorials section, I have placed a model of what I do with the Excell program
Other proposals are welcome
Have a nice evening

Thanks jodi,
And you can also just make a simple list in Word, e.g.
So here's what you might consider as an index to the titles of one of the "Songbooks" in "Miscellaneous" (if the formatting fits, here once on the Forum):

Hello Lisa
it's true that the formatting leaves something to be desired.
As far as your work in Word is concerned, to convert it to Pdf (which is recognized by P-A) your work is saved as, (you choose the Pdf extension) and that's it.
Have a nice day.

THANK YOU Cindou for the "anti-n"...!
And, Jodi, it was voluntary on my part to leave my list in Word this time (I usually put my lists in pdf) because I simply wanted some text to offer here the list of a Songbook already submitted by another member. I didn't want to put this list in the Tutorials.
Thanks to both of you,
Lisa

Let me know if you think I should consider my topic "Resolved", I thought I'd leave my proposal in there for a while, so that it could be read by more members.
THANK YOU too,

It was, as you said Cindou, a good idea but, as you also wrote and rightly so, one had to have doubts about its application as far as I can see...
Good music though ♪♪♫

Hello
to know if a title is present in a collection or a songbook there is this site which already made - partially - the work and it is already a very very big work.
Now it concerns only the songbook of English songs ... remains to be done for all that is collections

http://www.seventhstring.co.uk/fbindex.html

If a searched title returns an answer with the name of the songbook which contains it, it only remains to search on P-A or elsewhere if the songbook is present.

Hello,
I'm coming back to this...I repeat my suggestion to take the trouble to prepare a small list as the first page of a collection that would be published without a table of contents. It seems that I'm almost alone in finding it unpleasant to scroll through 50, 60 pages and often more to check if a collection that has just been published wouldn't have somewhere in it a piece of which one would like to have the leaf...
This could be a good resolution for 2018, no?! ;-)
Thanks for understanding the usefulness of this self explanatory suggestion.

Hello,
I don't want to waste my time but I'm writing again in this old conversation because recent deposits confirm me that the good resolution has still not been taken by all the members...
