test this.

Mcafee icon->network and internet -> configure -> firewall protection arrow -> advanced... -> program permissions (left column) -> and you choose the programs to allow (games, internet explorer, etc. ...)

I think Mcafee is null.

message with firefox

I just read this on Mcafee

http://www.clubic.com/antivirus-securite-informatique/logiciel-antivirus/mcafee/actualite-556124-mcafee-brevette-systeme-detection-blocage-telechargements-illegaux.html

The security expert McAfee has just filed a patent related to a system that identifies the download of illegal content, to better block it to prevent the user from going to the end of the process. A process that aims, according to the firm, to protect the Internet user against possible legal attacks.

McAfee could soon become Hadopi's best friend, by proposing an extension to its SiteAdvisor software capable of detecting when the Internet user is about to download illegal content, in order to block him in the process. This is the basis of a patent recently filed by the editor, and noted by Torrent Freak.

Named "Detecting and Preventing Illegal Content Consumption on the Internet," the patent aims to "prevent (or at least deter) a user from inadvertently or directly consuming illegal content on the Internet." The Internet user would then be warned when visiting a site offering copyright-infringing content, with McAfee scanning search results to compare them with a "blacklist" of domains. In some cases, the software could go so far as to prevent the Internet user from downloading it, while exposing legal alternatives.

McAfee believes that such an approach would protect the Internet user against several types of threats: possible malware present in the downloaded files on the one hand, and legal attacks from the major companies on the other. "By informing a user of illegal sources and possible alternatives, a user can obtain the desired electronic distribution without violating an author's intellectual property rights," the publisher adds.
The way McAfee intends to offer this function remains unknown for the moment, but we imagine that the majors and the anti-piracy organizations will rub their hands. On the other hand, on the Internet user's side, the pill will potentially be less easy to swallow.
