Yes, I'm back on the road after years off. I missed the musette, so it's not easy to get back into xd 3 with a hard drive.

Hello to all
I am looking for a score entitled "Un Maugein sinon rien" which speaks about the Maugein accordion factory of Tulle in Corrèze.
I wanted to make this request through the page search score but as I do not know the composer I could not enter my request that's why I make this request here.
If you can send me this score or transfer my request in the right section I thank you in advance.
Thank you for your help

Hello Slade and Yoyodu77 thank you for your answers I will look on the site of the Sacem as recommended by Yoyodu. Concerning the entry Unknown I tried but it indicated me "the value cannot be empty" in red and thus impossible to go further I believe that unknown does not work cordially Romeo87

Hello to all, I have been registered on the site for a few months now, but I don't think I have introduced myself... I am a very modest amateur accordionist, student at the Conservatory of Tulle (Corrèze). I started lessons when I was 30 years old, I had to stop because of lack of time and I started again when I retired... In short, I have a lot of fun playing music... Thanks to those who run this site, I have already found a lot of things. I haven't yet thought about the "score deposit" aspect, I'll have a closer look. (A little historical information that you may know: the first accordion factory was created in Corrèze: the Dedenis company, in Brive La Gaillarde. As for Maugein, it is the 3 brothers, transfered from Dedenis, who created it in Tulle in 1919).

Hello,
I have just acquired a maugein export in new condition (80basses). Due to back problems I have returned to an instrument weighing less than 8kg. BUT I am disappointed by its tone and its mechanism that I find "light" not to say disappointing! ... do you have any opinion on this instrument ? I'm thinking of getting it back ... what brand would you advise me ? Allessandrini ? Cavagnolo ? or....MERCI for your help

Hello,
Same problems, and same solution, but I chose the 80 bass "CADENCE", (Périgord Accordéon), improved with a music "à mano"... Very nice instrument.

Hello Camilla,
I do not know Daniel Colin, but a fall with an accordion on the shoulders that must hurt.
To have physical after-effects and on top of that to have the instrument repaired all this leaves bad memories.
It's so easy to lose your balance on stage, all it takes is a cable that pulls.
I wish him a good recovery and I am convinced that my friend Mr. Lachesse at Maugein in Tulle will give him full satisfaction.
Have a nice evening.

Hello, I had the opportunity to meet him in the 90's, I was working as a teacher at PARIS ACCORDEON in the 14th district of Paris, he often came to see the boss, (patrick quchaud) I love his playing, his way of playing, he is a great man of the accordion, we almost never see him on TV, what a pity, I love his music. I saw him on stage with guy marchand, he must not remember me but I wish him a good recovery and that the music continues - Sylvie

Hello sangho,

a few things without being a tuner... tightness, condition of the skins, wear of the bellows
tuning, functioning of the keyboards and registers.

This one seems to be in very good condition and its price is correct so like cindou and as always, see try etc...

Good test

Tip, take a tuner with you (guitar or other) or a smartphone application in the same genre and test all the keys. If, like me, your earpiece is not at its best, it will be very useful to check the tuning of the instrument!
The last FRENCH accordion company has just been saved! And for once, sport and music are one and the same !!!! THANKS to the Arsenal player Laurent Koscielny who has not forgotten his origins and who did not hesitate to invest so that MAUGEIN comes back with a bang! 11 jobs are maintained.
Let the music continue ......

What happiness for a company that over the years has manufactured high level accordions, always at the forefront of new technologies and which to this day delights millions of accordionists.
Congratulations to Laurent Koscielky and by the way I salute Mr Lachesse, director of the Maugein Company.

Thank you for this wonderful rescue! If you don't know the Maugein house in Tulles, make a detour and stop by. This small family business deserves to live, you will find very welcoming people, who will share their knowledge and their love for this beautiful instrument. With a memory .... It's been over 10 years since I bought my accordion and they still remember, 10 years later. Bravo for their professionalism.

Hello

There are various brands of accordions on the internet. But I don't know how they compare.
"Made in China" is no longer a criterion of mediocrity. It's not easy to make up your mind.

Including the brands mentioned by the following speakers, there are the: Accordiola Balone Beltuna Bonetti Bonifassi Borsini Burini Caca-digit Carpentier Cassotto Castagnari Cavagnolo Crucianelli Danube Del Sol Empire Excelsior Fisart Fratelli Crosio Giulietti Hohner Iorio Jazz La Tosca Maugein Mengacini Nobility Noble Notech Piermaria Pigini Roland Rossetti Saltarelle Scandali SofiaMari Stradella Titano V-Accordion Victoria Viper Weltmeister Westminster
Are there any other brands?
Which accordions are the most sought after for their sound and quality?
What are the brands to avoid?
What is your favorite accordion?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and personal taste.

Hello to all: I would have liked to know who started this subject!! which is succeptible to interest some members of the forum. As far as I am concerned, I have used several brands, and I have my own opinion on the question; the brand is certainly an important criterion but, as in a brand of cars, there is a whole range, so it remains to determine the budget to devote to the use that you want to make of an accordion.. there are also traditional acoustic accordions, accoustic accordions equipped with midi, and purely electronic accordions (without accoustics) chromatic bass accordions etc... To say that a brand is better than the other certainly but it is difficult to openly denigrate a brand or to make publicity for another §§§ see you soon musically Robinson 82

Hello there is an excellent French brand "Maugein". http://www.accordeons-maugein.com/visite/index.html but in my favorite brands I would also give fratelli crosio, piermaria, cavagnolo and hohner if we take in the range fun pro (which is of Italian manufacture)

In terms of brands, there is also Noble and Empire. I have a Noble accordion myself that I am quite happy with, and a friend has an Empire that he is very happy with as well. Favorite brand hum.... I had the opportunity to have several hohner, westminster, and other brands too old to be still readable on the beast :) Overall from my experience (but it depends on the different models) my favorites would be for hohner and noble.

Good evening accordionists Choosing an accordion is like choosing a car, so you see how important subjectivity is, there are mercedes fans and BMW fans and happy owners of CITROEN or PEUGEOT, they are all cars but ...... ???? Two very important criteria in my opinion apart from the price, 1° think of the weight of the beast, if you make of the ball 11 kg on the shoulders during hours, at 20 years çà passes to 60 çà breaks! Then look at the smaller models or the new carbon body (Accordiola, lighter) or all digital (5/6 kg approximately, Bonifassi, Caca-digit, Rolland V-ACCORDEON, etc...) 2° what kind of music will you play, big musette, jazzy, variety, folk, ? and 3° think about the proximity of the S.A.V., there are several manufacturers in France (among others Maugein, Cavagnolo, Accordiola, to mention only that, but there are others and good ones too), I play on ACCORDIOLA model 04 which is 15 years old and which sounds wonderful (for my personal taste) and which has never caused me any problems, and I also play on a CAVAGNOLO ODYSSEE (all digital HF), which I appreciate especially for its lightness, which I like less at the sound level. So here is to advise a choice I do not venture, look around you question the accordionists you meet, and in my opinion it is like the rest, the cheap is when a sign of lesser quality, and you will see

Hello, I have played on many accordions of different brands and, as one of our friends said, it is like choosing a car. There is the price, the aesthetics and the engine. It is impossible to say which manufacturer is the best. While it is true that Italian-made accordions are considered the best, in Italy the Maugein is considered an excellent accordion. I had a Dallape (brand of Stradella, the sanctuary of accordions) which is the Rolls of the accordions. It is like the others, it does not play by itself and very few people are able to tell the difference between its sound and that of other brands. Maybe I am not completely impartial. I am from Piacenza, an Italian town located 30 km from Stradella where I have been many times even if the last one was 20 years ago. In conclusion, a general rule that applies to almost everything, the more expensive an accordion is, the better it is. Have a nice day Dan

After hearing him
; I was tempted by the price at instrumentalsavings.com and bought a Rossetti 2 octave 25 keys 12 bass piano accordion for my 7 year old granddaughter, believing that if she didn't have an accordion, she would never play one. For a little beginner, it should do the job. What amazes me is that I can get a better price buying on the internet in California than at home in Quebec City! It seems to me that I live closer to Italy than people on the Pacific coast. Even if it is an Italian brand, the accordion could be made in China. I'll know when I receive it.

Hello, There are also the Balone Burini, and Mengacini. Personally I play on a Pigini super variety. My two previous accordions were also Pigini. The choice of an instrument is very personal and also depends on the repertoire... Anyway, it is better to try before buying. A + Michelle

HelloPersonally I have been playing on Piermaria for 20 years, I am absolutely delighted with it as far as I am concerned.
Many brands are excellent, it's often a question of budget, if you go to a specialized store, you can try different types of instruments and especially at different prices.
