Hello, it's done! The manuscript of about 300 pages has the provisional title of "Accordion, cabarets, dances and popular music in the history and culture of Quebec from the 1930's to the 1980's" and for subtitle: "Following the path of Pietro Rossi (1921-1990), star accordionist and cultural ferryman" It took 6 years of research, reading, compiling documents of the time, public and personal archives, biographies and a dozen interviews of musicians of the 50s, 60s and 70s, and writing and formatting. The manuscript is currently being corrected, and the next step is proofreading and publication.Georges_Tormen_2013
Hello/Good evening, Today is December 17, 2019. News about the book on the accordion in Quebec.
The manuscript has been completed since November 23, 2019. The pandemic has come to put everything on hold for the resumption of activities and interest in a book of passion, history and sharing. So, it will be for later.

Hello Georges_Tormen,
Very nice initiative, I hope it can be unblocked as soon as possible to edit it !

My manuscript has been on ice for too long. So, I'm back to looking for a serious publisher who would be willing to publish this book rather than preferring trendy stories to it. So if you know of any interested publishers, please put me in touch. Thank you! This is a book that introduces us to a history that is fading and falling into oblivion. Hence the reason for this investment of time and energy on my part.

Hello Georges, new comments don't bring up discussions in the news feed, feel free to recreate a new discussion to ask for help from members. Some of them will surely be able to give you some hints about publishing houses ;)
I hope we can see all this work come to life on paper :)
Thank you for your time. I don't care!

I contacted two artists of the 50s and 60s: Alphonse Ghedin, accordionistAntoine (Nino) Coïa, pianist and guitarist
Both of them have known and played with Pietro Rossi
I'm looking for Michel Vimont, bass player from the same period in Montreal.
I am trying to get in touch with the Marrazza family (from Montreal)
