Hello to all of you,
Out of interest in innovative playing techniques for the compound bass accordion (Stradella standard), I am looking for scores of demanding pieces for compound bass by contemporary composer Petri Makkonen. If my information is correct, these are found in his grouped album "The Red Bike".
Can someone give me some information about this (in English, French or German)? Maybe also about his other albums with such music (allegedly): "Transition Music", "Space Music", "Songs for Accordion" and "Five Pieces for Accordion"?
I found these titles in overview lists, I don't know however the pieces (degree of difficulty, type of bass, etc.), and I don't know either where one can get these pieces / albums.
If someone could prepare some of these pieces, or an idea where I can find it (or additional information)... ... a huge THANK YOU in advance and hi, Walter

Hello,
You can find the scores "the red bike" on at least two Finnish sites:
1) "convertor oy" search in "nuotit" which means scores; also at
2) "suomen kansanmusiikkiliitto" (Finnish league for folk music) -where the cd of the same name is also sold- in the section netti putiikki then "laulu ja nuottikirjat" (song and music scores) Type Petri Makkonen in the search box.
Be careful with the double letters in Finnish.
I have the "the red bike" score but I am not equipped to put it on line. it contains pieces for standard basses and pieces for chromatic basses. for me who begin the chromatic basses (since 6 months) it is still too difficult.
