Hello, have you searched the site? Many versions of this song have already been deposited

Maybe start by asking the site!
I enter "children of Piraeus" in the search line and I get 7 answers...

mamilena38,
Our answers appeared at the same time...
Yours is probably a follow-up to your comment of January 21, which I totally agree with!

hello cavag31, yes it's a pity that the requested scores present on the site are not better found (or searched!) because following these requests members redeposit the score and so there are quite a few duplicates.

Hello mamilena38 and Cavag31. The problem mentioned comes in most cases from a defect in the design of the search function. I pointed it out during the redesign of the site. Naturally, the requester goes to the "Score Requests" section. Before making the request, he/she performs a search in this section, which (it's a mistake) offers the "Search" function, but "oops" the search is only performed in this section and not on the whole site (including the scores section). Searches are therefore automatically unsuccessful and the requester makes a request.

Hello everyone,

There is a "search" function on the requests page to find a specific request if it is old.

The "search" tool itself is unchanged. The problem comes more from its use by many members who simply don't take the time to go and do a search on the "scores" page before publishing their score request (or sometimes from a wrong entry of the submitted score). As a matter of fact, most of you can easily find them with a basic search on the site before replying.
In spite of the distinct "search" part and the mention "Write your comment", we still find every day searches written in the "comments" space, as you must have noticed on your publications...
We are well aware of the complications that this brings to you/us (loss of time for the members answering these requests, duplicates, etc...), but unfortunately there is not much we can do, except to remind these members by message and to be patient while everyone gets used to the new version.

I confirm that the "Search" function available in the "Request for Scores" section should make it possible to search the entire site.
If on a given road, many drivers get lost at this or that junction, we should question the relevance of the signage rather than questioning the intellectual capacities of the drivers.

very accurate, unnecessarily "dense" site and contents unsuited to the accordion since its "modernization".

Poll to be taken: who thinks that the old version was more practical, and that it is not up to the majority to readapt to the views of a few computer scientists?

Personally, I've said it before, I think the new site is great, and much clearer than the old one.

Hello witt_jclaude,

could you please explain what the "modernization" of the site has changed in its content? The categories and the content are the same. And this last one is always deposited by the members.

There have been over 34,000 users on the site since the launch of the new version in early December. From the number of negative comments and feedbacks, it would seem that the vast majority of users do not share your opinion but that of Cavag31.

As for the requests for scores made despite the presence of the latter on the site, this is not new and has always existed unfortunately. The highway code is a good image. In spite of a "code of the road", a signposting and reminders, you will always find people who will take the forbidden direction as a shortcut, or simply by error because error is human. Those users who do not take the time to do a simple search on the "partitions" page to save time, will not take the time to do a search on the "requests" page either.

We are listening to your feedback. We will also integrate a search by dates for those who scan the site by pages. But the technique does not allow everything, especially considering the number of devices and different systems used by members. This must go in the direction of the majority too.

Good evening to all
I've been visiting the site since the very beginning, I've followed the evolution and I've adapted.
I noticed that with the confinement there were a lot of new members and maybe with some worries about the use of the site.
Many of these newcomers are not necessarily computer literate
For my part I do not do "the nanny" if the title is on the site I inform and that's all.
If it's not there I do some research and for those who don't answer if the deposit is appropriate (I don't ask for bows and thanks) just the info... idem
because I find that some do not make much effort to research.
In the posts above there are references to duplicates, I agree and I do not see the point of going to look on other sites for scores to deposit them here.
Small remark to the administrators has when the possibility of making a correction on a message deposited.
Greetings to all and to all

Hello Theo,

thanks for your feedback! It is already possible to correct your publications (except scores in order not to double the work of correction) from the "..." at the top right of the publication. The possibility to correct comments is in the list of improvements under study.

Hello,
Did you at least write the title in the search of what has already been filed on the site?
It is repeated at least 10 TIMES.
